Cute Monster ~The Scrap Cake~

Hi there!
I`m sharing today a layout not typically my style but I had so much fun creating it!
We have this week at The Scrap Cake blog a fun post about playing with our collections "Spring Awakening" and "Little Monsters" in freestyle.
I chose to play with "Little Monsters" collection and this is what I came up with....

I began creating this layout from a white sheet of canvas. I used a few colors Glimmer Mist paint to create the background colors so I can match the pattern papers. And because of the funny photo of my son Alexander I used pirate clear stamps to match the photo. The blue heart and the blue bird were cut out of canvas as well....

The Color Room

Hi there!
Today I`m sharing a layout I made for The Color Room. I used their palette #58. I usually don`t have time to play in challenges no matter how much I like them but last weekend I had some extra hours and I created this layout. This is my second time I`m using their palette. Last time I made a page was a year ago ;-).
I used the "Butterfly Garden" collection from Pink Paislee.
Well, as you can see I changed "a little bit" one of the colors :-))) or should I say I went out of the box... anyway, I`m happy with the result. The photos were printed in three colors...B&W, sepia and green.

As always I began creating my layout with white cardstock and Glimmer Mist. What I did this time was to use one of the Ornate Gates (medium - DA0188) from Dusty Attic. I had it for such a long time and I`m happy I finally used it. I cut the ornaments out of the gate and used them as a stencil for my background. The rest I used as a frame for my photos. I wanted to do something different from this chippie and my purpose was to use it anything but a gate.

I also used "The Butterfly Garden" Clear Stamps  to decorate my edges....

When I painted it with Gesso I applied puffy paint.....

The puffy paint is a fabric paint that you use with a heat gun and the result is its beautiful puffy dimension....

All the alphas you see on the page are from Webster`s Pages "Country Estate" collection....

I applied puffy paint over the swirls as well.....

The butterfly is a clear stamp from Prima Marketing and the flowers and pearls as well.....

For the bird I used Fiskars` Clear stamp....

The Scrap Cake

Happy Monday everyone!
I`m sharing today a layout I created for The Scrap Cake. I had to create a layout using only green pattern papers from our both collections - "Little Monsters" and "Spring Awakening".

Here are some of the papers I used for my project.....

I made de paper rosettes using Tim Holtz' Alterations dies.

The big white flourish is one of the cute scrap goodies I got from my dear friend Ingvild Bolme ...thank you, sweetie :-)

 The glitter alphas are from "Dear Lizzy" thickers. The stamps is a clear stamp from Prima Marketing.

The corner chippie is from Imaginarium Desings...

The Scrap Cake Challenge - our FIRST challenge!

I`m so happy to announce our first challenge at The Scrap Cake. Not only first one but also a very yummy one. It has all to do with our cute and so delicious logo....our cupcake! Don`t you just love the color combination.....perfect inspiration for creating paper craft projects....

Here are the Challenge Rules:

* Create a paper craft project with the TSC (The Scrap Cake) motif. It can be a card, a layout, a tag, altered project, home decor, etc.

* You can use all kind of brands!

* The project must be in the TSC cupcake colors: BLUE, BEIGE, BROWN, WHITE and FUCHSIA.

* Upload you project to your blog, copy the URL of your post about this challenge and add it to Mr. Linky widget ---------> HERE

* Upload your projects by Wednesday, June 1st!

* We`ll draw a winner who`ll win a set of both TSC collections!

Here is what I created inspired by the cupcake logo. As you already noticed I was very inspired by the cute little cherry on the top ;-)

I had a mixture of lots of brands here: 

* Webster`s Pages (Trendsetter collection)

* Girls` Paperie

* Fancy Pants Designs

* Kaisercraft

* Pink Paislee

* Imaginarium Designs chipboard

* Prima Marketing (say it in pearls)

And a few close-ups:

The round lollipop flowers were made by me. They were made of fabric.

The mini cupcakes were cut out of the TSC pattern paper brand logo.

My Creative Scrapbook ~Main Kit~

Today I`m sharing my work with the Main Kit at My Creative Scrapbook. I was so happy when I opened my kit and I saw all the Webster`s Pages papers and embellies from the beautiful "Ladies & Gents" collection....one of my favorites!
Here are my 4 layouts I created with this gorgeous kit....

There was a white netting in the kit which I colored with a Copic Marker. I used a lighter to make the ruffle edges....

The yellow netting you see is from a package of lemons :-).....

And finally sharing one of my favorite photos . I took this photo in Amsterdam not so long ago. On the photo you see my son Alexander. I can`t wait to scrap this photo :-)
