Dusty Attic, Webster`s Pages & Tattered Angels.....

I played last night with this great combination of products and I must say I enjoyed it so much! I began building the page with white cardstock. I used glimmer mist and I stamped....

Don`t you just love this gorgeous decorative frame of  Dusty Attic which I used for the b&w photo of Leanne. The Dusty Attic chipboard was provided by my friend  Tracy ....Thank you so much, Tracy!!!

I used only one sheet of patter paper from Webster`s pages. I cut out some of the patterns. I made the flower  using the back side of the paper ....there were lovely sea-horses in the shape of a heart. What I did was to cut  six "hearts" out and to shape them in a flower. I hand-stitched as well....

 The sea-horse was stamped, cut out and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist. I colored the crystals (Prima Marketing) with a Copic Marker.

Tutorial: Flowers

As I wrote in my previous post it`s the Flower tutorial coming next.

Well,  to make the flowers you need paper, sheer ribbon and I used the centers of a Prima flower but you can use any sort stamina.... The tools you need are mentioned and you can see them on the photos that follow. 

I don`t mention the punch I used `cause in fact you can use any punch you have in storage. Simply punch flowers and then spray them with water. Then you can make a small ball out of it and open them and let them dry.

Take the sheer ribbon and begin stitching. When you are ready pull both sides and gather all up. Make a knot.

Just before you make the knot place in the middle the stamina. Then make a hole in the middle of the paper flower.

When ready, place the sheer ribbon flower with the stamina in the hole of the paper flower.

Then your whole flower is ready. I placed extra paper flower underneath the original flower.

DT work for My Creative Scrapbook (part 2) - Limited Edition Kit

The Limited Edition kit is simply FABULOUS this month! Love every single bit of it.....Look at all the yummy  goodies....

I`ll begin straight with my first LO. A photo of Alexander. I did a lot of cutting here but I love the result :-)

Because I got lots of questions about the swirly background....here it is what I did:

I cut the pattern paper in two and I began cutting the swirls in the way that in the end it looked like a die-cut paper. When I was ready, after all the cutting ( poor me ;-)) I thought that it`s not what I wanted and I tried the other side of the pattern paper.....

....and VOILA.....that was exactly what I needed.....

I inked the edges, used embossing pen to give dimension and I added a few chippies....My next post will be a tutorial on How to make the flowers. 

My second page is very simple and elegant. I punched the holes again (so typically my style...lol), I hand-stitched (once again so much me ;-)) and I did again some cutting (my favorite part of the whole process of creating a page). Did I ever tell you I never use scissors .....I always cut with a hobby knife. I think my kids use my scissors more than I do... :-)

Another layout I created with such love. This photo of Leanne and Alex was taken in a photo studio in the town of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. I was born and raised in Stara Zagora and I love my home town....who doesn`t :-) 

I was so nicely surprised to find these  Dusty Attic  chipboard corners in the kit that I jumped from joy :-) Nowadays, this is my favorite product...and I LOVE it!!!!!!!! 

TIP

I used embroidery floss around the pearls. 

My fourth page with the Limited Edition kit is again a very simple and elegant! I love that baby photo of Leanne focusing on her little fingers. I again did some cutting, hand stitching and I applied my  Inverted Scallop Border  ...

My last page from the kit! Just a photo of Leanne. Love working with the transparent doily. I placed it over colored cardstock and I hand-stitched it together with it. I used Copic Marker to color in between the stitched lines.

DT work for My Creative Scrapbook (part 1) - Main Kit

Finally time to share my work on my blog.
Here is the awesome Main kit that Pam Rangel prepared this month at  My Creative Scrapbook  The photo (below) says it all....Travel.....Journey....Fun!

....and these are the layouts I created with these cool goodies.

It`s me and hubby in  Bulgaria  visiting one of our best friends in the town of Plovdiv. I used glimmer mist to make the background color so it can match my pattern paper. The title Travel originally was from the paper itself but I cut it out and I "moved" ;-) it. I thought it would be funny to use it as a title!

I used foam tape for 3D effect.

I wanted to scrap this photo of Alex so much. He is such a MACHO here ;-)

Isn`t Alex cool with his long hair? Well, to make this LO I simply used white cardstock and again glimmer mist and paint to make the background. I gave a short description at My Creative Scrapbook "How Did I do that?" and you can find it  here soon ( Every month the DT girls give tips about their layouts).

I used Nestabilities to make the flowers. Of course I didn`t miss to use my embossing pen to give some dimension.

My last page with the kit is my favorite one. Love that photo of me and my sweethearts. I punched the edges of the die-cut paper here with my most appreciated tool ever....the Fiskars eyelet tool. If you want to see what else I do with it you can have a look  here .

Dusty Attic...again....YAY!

Happy Sunday everyone!
I woke up this morning and I was in a mood to scrap a photo of Alexander. He is a boy who knows what he wants and almost always he gets what he wants ;-)
I have this great Dusty Attic chipboard title "Attitude" from my dear friend  Tracy  and I thought it`s a perfect match for my photo....
